There are a lot of “conspiracy theories” that are just true. Flat earth isn’t one of them. It’s not representative of the “conspiracy theories” that people would have reason to click.

Westerners “have more geology” than Easterners — mountains, deserts, volcanos, earthquakes — so they are more likely to click on something geology-related than New Jerseyans. More open spaces, more UFOs, so why not more queries about Flat Earth theories? They don’t necessarily believe the theories.

The Antikythera Mechanism 2000 years on
The world’s first computer was discovered on 17 May 1902 in a shipwreck off the Greek island of Antikythera, to the great puzzlement of archaeologists at the time. There are at least 30 known gears in the mechanism which combined to create a geocentric model.
