Because the earth tilts, and almost most of the population is in the northern hemisphere. Really any time China India and Japan are in sunlight there’s half the population right there not even counting all the other countries that will be in sunlight at the same time. High summer in the northern hemisphere and there you. It’s still only half the planet in sunlight, it just happens to be the “good half”, or at least populated.
Really you can see it for yourself it’s not that tough. This is part of how we know all flat earthers are complete morons. You can disprove all your flat earth nonsense with a $14 globe and a $1 penlight.
The question suggests that a CME is caused by light. It’s not. The light of a CME takes minutes to reach earth—that is, we can “see it” because light travels at the speed of light (duh.)
The particles that actually cause the CME are traveling towards the earth at the rate they are ejected from the sun. Those things take 3-4 days to reach out into our orbit.
Nobody really believes in the flat earth idea. Those that pretend to are usually “taking the piss” as the British say. Just being intentionally obtuse for fun. The sad ones are the ones who argue with them because they need to feel smarter than somebody.
The guy in the video shows it can't be done.
