Six 3-man crews would disagree. I have dined with one of them. But ignorance seems to be rampant these days.
The reason we have never been back is the cost and a lack of political will.
It's not mere ignorance, it's willful, deliberate, weaponized rejection of knowledge.
I bet it would be cheaper these days.
“The reason we have never been back is the cost and a lack of political will.”
Well, and I’d argue the lack of any potential return on investment. If we’d found a mountain of gold, or an ocean full of oil, we’d probably be going back all the time.
Oh, really? You consider that proof, something everyone should believe in, from 18 well-compensated government employees?
And how many people in the DOJ and elsewhere in government--many highly educated and well-compensated lawyers--worked on fictitious claims of probable cause that Trump colluded with and was a compromised tool of Russia? Dozens? Hundreds? With thousands if not millions of believers in tow? How much were such false representations worth absent real evidence?
Consider the evidence in this post..
Though you say, "The reason we've not been back [to the moon] is the cost and a lack of political will," an official NASA spokesman, shuttle astronaut, and Ph.D in chemistry, freely spews lies to say otherwise:
Unlike so many posts on this thread, I believe posters on FR should debate ideas using evidence and sound reasoning.
