So across this great nation of ours most of us have had rather consistent exposure to wildfire smoke this summer, and that's not exactly salubrious. PM2.5, VCOs, etc. are verifiably linked to deadly and disabling illnesses. These things we can believe in, unlike the carbon end-of-the-world farce and speculations.
Here's hoping that this winter will be a break from all that pollution. Unfortunately there are people in towns and cities—and now folks rural areas I'm not talking about you, I'm talking about people in areas of considerable population density—who are real crazy for wood burning. I am asking people in such areas to consider scaling back on wood burning as much as you can endure this winter, just so we all can get a much needed vacation from smoke. (A break until global warming thugs, pyrophiliacs, and other morons resume their arson campaign next summer).
I also urge legislators in all states to consider passing default (locally overridable) prohibitions on wood burning in towns and cities above a certain population density (above 25 inhabitants per square mile). It should specifically allow local governments to override the ban on a biennial basis. This will allow localities freedom to continue wood burning if they wish, while switching the political process burden to burners rather than opponents to get their way. This would also redirect opposition to wood burning away from efforts to ban it totally.
Just dreaming of a nice snowy winter with fresh air as a much needed vacation from the ash tray atmosphere we've had this summer.
Here’s my response to your proposal: GFY. We heat with wood in the winter. 3 to 4 cords worth. We’re not about to shiver so some virtue-sniveling jerk can feel good about themselves.
Actually, now that you mention it, it really is quite a miracle that homeless camps in cities have not resulted in something like The Great Chicago Fire.
That is a good point.
Get used to the smoke. It's a consequence of a century of government failures (and ongoing). It will take generations to correct, and the government will proffer that it will take a lot of money (and that they can 'fix' it, when they're not blaming it those who don't comply with their dictates, i.e., 'fossil fuels' and other human CO2 activities).
Falling into the trap of wishing for clear skies because you believe it's 'normal' is exactly what progressives want you to do. i.e.,
😂
You can thank the nearest libtard for perpetual wildfires due to their retarded policies against fire protection
Yep. That does factor in.
