That would actually be a good response. And it seems to be literally true. Congress cannot override the Supreme court with a mere law reinstating what they struck down.
Well, they can try, but they can only get away with it for a short time on a controversial issue, since someone would definitely sue and get it back in front of the Supreme Court quickly.
Oh yes, and also this is why the “national abortion ban” is a good litmus test for politicians, but not in the way that most might think.
If a Republican talks about passing such a ban, what it really means is either:
a) that politician is extremely stupid or uninformed about the Constitution and how the US government works
or
b) that politician thinks GOP voters are extremely stupid or uninformed on those matters
