A group of teenagers who stole a Kia as part of a TikTok challenge were found hiding in a locked portable toilet following a high-speed chase where they crashed the car.
The incident happened in Thurston County, Washington on Wednesday and was captured on police cameras.
There were six people in the stolen car, including five teenagers, and police received reports of a hit and run. The driver was spotted driving erratically and officers tried to pull them over.
But they tried to get away and reached speeds of up to 70mph on a 25mph road. The driver, who police said was drunk, lost control of the car and crashed.
They tried to continue driving but officers made a sudden pit maneuver and brought the vehicle to the stop. Three suspects sprinted out and were later found inside a portable toilet.
Dashcam footage released by Thurston County Sheriff's Office shows a police car pursing the stolen Kia.
It eventually catches up to the vehicle and the panicked driver loses control and crashes into the side of the road.
The group tried to drive away but a deputy performed a pit maneuver to stop the car. That sees the front of a cop car strike one of the back tires of the car it is chasing, sending the vehicle into a spin which usually stops it.
Another officer got out and approached the car but the teenagers ditched the Kia and ran way.
Bodycam footage shows authorities searching for the group in a lumber depot using a police dog.
The animal takes an interest in a locked portable toilet and the officer shouts: 'Hey, locked.'

I’ll bet the police were pretty tempted....
Those things are NOT where you want to be in the summer in Gulf Coast States.
I know what you are thinking.
If they had done it the right way, they could not get out.
I’ll bet the police were pretty tempted....
I worked at an outdoor shooting range for a number of years and there were plenty of porta potties there. I was chatting with the guy who came out to clean them and he said they were designed not to spill if tipped over. Once one blew over and he was right.
;^)
I would have tipped it…
Oh they will spill. High wind and tornadoes. They will spill.
Portable, unisex, easy to clean, never really smells due to the ventilation. Plastic urinal on the side for us men. I do feel sorry for the ladies who have to sit down and deal with the flies that are underneath.
Those yutes that stole a Kia wound up locked 🔒 in a place to pee-ya.
Back the Blue..
That blue water takes care of flies unless they are overloaded.
Worked construction my whole life.
They will tip with a good wind or bad or good men bent on one’s suffering.
I was working on a data center in South Dallas near the old Sportatorium. Saw one get blown about 2 city blocks. Poor bastard inside was shaken and blue.
We called the windy days in Dallas dress-up days.
“Nobody in here but us turds.”
Imagine taking suspects covered in human waste into custody and transporting them to a detention center. I think the cops were wise not to tip it over.
Funny. Don’t bother looking for quality writing in 2023 journalism.
Not a PortaPotty but....
Remember the movie Jumpin’ Jack Flash? Whoopi Goldberg
calling on the pay phone: ‘I’m a little black woman in a big silver box....’

Cops have been pushed beyond their limits by truncated cell phone viral arrest videos and insulting review boards and court trials over their imperfect gentleness with meat cleaver wielding wild eyed killers.
They could have left the PortaPotty and just said “we don’t have to take this crap any more.”
