I’m pretty sure they’d taste like turkey. Why not just thin the herd and feed the hungry? They make an easy target. ;)
A neighbor had a couple about a decade or so. They’d come over on occasion and were fun to see. Chicks were on my land till a coyote got them and their mom. Dad would still fly over on occasion, rather sad. My recollection they mostly traveled on the ground through the woods. Probably should have kept them in a wired corral, preferably with the donkeys who would keep the coyotes away. I’m sure they’d taste fine.
