The best heartburn medication I’ve found is Alka-Seltzer.
I’ve read you can’t take it daily though.
It really works great!

Take half a teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) with a glass of water.
It's basically Alka-Seltzer without the aspirin (and carbonation).

Yeah, I think that the very high aspirin content of Alka-Seltzer would be problematic on a long-term basis. But I totally agree with you, that it’s a great antidote to a “heartburn” situation. I really like the taste especially when used with very cold water.

Only 1 thing gives me heartburn, stomach pain and pain in bowel. It is coffee! Tea, cola, beer, no problem. I guess I am allergic to coffee.
