Do I find it plausible that, in 1982 at age 21, Barry’s homosexuality was relegated to imaginary acts? Yes, that’s possible. I’ve certainly known people who later came out as gays/lesbians who, likely due to shame or shyness, weren’t acting out their homosexuality as such as teens/young adults (and were dating people of the opposite sex). But do I consider it possible that the Obama didn’t eventually start acting out his fantasies of homosexual acts? Not a chance in hell. Given the opportunity, people eventually will do what they want to do. Whether his real-life homosexuality started a year or two later at Columba or in Chicago, who knows. But take it to the bank, it happened and is likely still happening.
