Mainly metrics are referred to when taking from a foreign article because nearly the entire rest of the world moved over to it exclusively.
Can’t tell you the number of times I’ve caught engineering issues because an overseas supplier or subdivision didn’t read correctly or failed to properly convert....going in both directions.
