WE THE PEOPLE won’t give up. GOD WINS! This is war. We, who know God, must fight spiritually. Pray. Pray in the Spirit. Stand on God’s Holy Word - and OBEY HIS COMMANDMENTS. Righteousness exalts a nation. Those who keep those commandments FIGHT EVIL. When we obey, our prayers are not hindered.
We’ve all seen the scripture verse: “If my people, who bear my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face and turn from their evil ways, I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
But what does this mean???
1) humble myself means to realize I can’t do it - I have to call on HIM - the God of the Universe, Adonai, through His son Yeshua the Messiah.
2) Pray - call out to God with all my strength, believing He is the One in control
3) Seek His face - not a teacher, a preacher, a religion, or a denomination. Call out for HIS wisdom, His Words, His Ways, His Will. These are found in the book He has preserved for thousands of years, the Holy Bible,especially the first five books (the Torah) which contain His commandments that bless us and bring life.
4) Turn from my wicked ways - His commandments show me what I’m doing that is wicked.
Most believers disobey the 4th commandment - His Sabbath. Start there - observe the 7th day as His holy day.
Study the Torah - you will weep as you realize how unholy we have become. You will cry out for forgiveness and mercy. Cry out for America. Intercede for us all. Stand between a Holy God and an unholy people just as Moses did. Read Leviticus and you will cry tears of gratitude for the blood of Yeshua (Jesus) that pays for our sins.
Fight with praise – it is powerful. Praise God for his love and mercy – for your every breath – for the roof over your head, the food on your table, that you can see, and hear, and walk, and talk, and for strength. Especially praise Him for preserving our wonderful country, our founding fathers, our Constitution, and especially that He has shed His grace on us so far. We don’t deserve His mercy, but He gives it.
I pray for His mercy to continue – and I believe it will if we do what 2 Chronicles 7:14 says. GOD WINS!
