I snapped this yesterday while driving through Muscle Shoals. I just couldn't resist. No idea who the woman is but if ever there was a face and a look that represented the 'Real Alabama Woman', this is it. Reminds me of that song thats getting attention lately "Try That In A Small Town".

It’s backward.

I guess the billboard designer wanted the wording on the left and the photo on the right. Sometimes graphics designers reverse a photo thinking that they are making a better angle of the person's body language, without realizing that others can see distortions, like the buttons or wristwatfch being on the wrong side.

Sharp freepers zeroed in on her grip immediately.

Having instructed hundreds of female shooters.

I have told many how to correct their grips.

Other then that she might not be able to get ether trigger finger on the trigger.

Makes me think it was photo shopped

My support hand goes under the magazine, cupping my gun hand. And I have a “modified Weaver stance”. My gun elbow is slightly bent, not locked, and I don’t put my foot too far forward. There’s not much of my chest to hit, either, if you are shooting back, because I’m kind of looking left...

As a coach, I never messed with a kid who could hit the ball, even if he didn’t hold the bat like I teach beginners.

Same for shooting. I shoot how I’m comfortable shooting, and I hit what I want.

She’s left handed.

That is sorta a standard left handed grip except for the right thumb, which should be on the right side, parallel to the slide. Definitely better than the “cup and saucer” hold which I’m told that they used to teach Marines.

been saying for years, we are the first responders... not the police. we either respond by calling someone else, or handle the situation.

Tea-cupping. That must be old school. Not even NRA, which is always 10-20 years behind the rest of the shooting community teaches tea-cupping. What was your point? That some of us who could see an obviously poor grip on what should have been a perfect ‘staged’ photo for advertising should not point it out?
