Well, the story is factual, but who the “driver of color” was remains unverified. The Weather Underground was actively terrorizing at that time.
The getaway driver story - I read a long time ago that the getaway car/truck wrecked and he fled on foot and that he was injured which might explain the scar on the side of his face/head.
