When prominent conservatives called for a boycott of Bud Light earlier this month, after it partnered with transgender Tiktok influencer Dylan Mulvaney, former President Donald Trump remained uncharacteristically tight-lipped.
…
Indeed, Real Clear Politics noted that Trump is "MIA" on the boycott, ignoring repeated requests for comment from the outlet on the topic.
…
The Independent was the first to report on financial disclosures showing that Trump is an investor in the company that produces Bud Light.
Trump's most recent 101-page disclosures form, which was filed with the Federal Election Commission on April 14, shows that Trump owns between $1 million and $5 million in Anheuser Busch InBev under an account listed as "DJT Trust — Investment Account #2."

What profits would that be? There are no profits now.
Budwiser was an iconic Americana company up until the transient.
Maybe some of our more industrious Freepers could do a spreadsheet of all the companies we’re supposed to be boycotting. It must be in the hundreds.
I don’t buy Bud Light, don’t buy Ben & Jerry’s (although it’s great ice cream), not gonna see Barbie (like I ever would anyway), but honestly, it’s too exhausting to base my life on boycotting the latest product that has pissed off somebody in the past few hours.
Pfffffttt….
“ If DeSantis owned stock he’d be crucified. Funny how that works.”
How is that an answer to my question? Exactly?
Read the first three sentences.
Wow. Lotta Desantis panic posters in this thread.
Richard Petty would not allow any Beer Contingency Sponsorship Decals on His Race Cars being a Southern Baptist. Kyle Petty did have Coors on his car but that was a car owned by Felix Sabates.
To President Donald J. Trump (Citizen Donald J. Trump at the time of the Investment more than likely.) it was just another quality investment. He was looking at a P&L Sheet not what the product was.
Yeah… he wasn’t at all busy the last two months… he was protecting that .002 percent of his net worth. We are all sitting here in awe of your wisdom. Any other bright analysis?
There are a few, the proud, on here who are pure and stalwart when it comes to boycotting. Me, I’m just a half-assed boycotter; and my hat is off to those who can maintain purity vis-a-vis boycotting all enterprises expressing wokeness in any way.
I am reminded of the scene in Blazing Saddles where LePetomaine (GOV) remarks after all but one at the table harrumphed at his pithy remark:
“I didn’t get a harrumph outta that guy!”
Actually it’s .002%
the modelo sold in US

Losers...
A boycott is something that must be done by consumers and not an issue a Presidential candidate should be involved with.
But, this is the lame attacks DeSantis' supporters must rely because their candidate is such abysmal failure.
So? Wanna bet anyone on FR who owns an employee pension fund probably has stock in AB as well?
I’ll bet that many of us own it, too, as part of our pension and/or investment portfolios.
Either get on the Trump Train or get on the tracks and get run over by it. It's Trump or communism in 2024.
“Actually it’s .002%“
That would mean he’s worth 250 trillion!!
.002% = .00002
$5,000,000 / .00002 = 250 trillion
Which is why I don’t understand people upset with him about Bud Light. He is who he is and if you voted for him in 2016 and 2020, as I did, well, he hasn’t changed on social issues since then.
