Could have, but nothing did.

I now have a definitive diagnosis. X-rays and blood work were done. I was very clear that my blood had to be handled in a specific way. The doctor in charge of the lab had actually diagnosed someone on a different island with CAD and knew EXACTLY what had to be done. He explained it to the lab workers and it all went smoothly. I was totally amazed and surprised. He and I got along extremely well.

Then, I got passed off to x-rays, and although it wasn't as friendly (that previous doc and I were on the same wave-length), everything went smoothly and the pictures were quite clear. One different thing about hospitals here and hospitals there, here you immediately receive your labwork and have immediate copies and access, often before the docs.

Then, I got passed on to a general surgeon and he explained what I was seeing. I have a seriously strained ligament in my wrist. It shows up clearly on the x-rays and there is no doubt about it at all. Not gout. Not arthritis, but an actual injury. That means temporary.

As to my ongoing chronic conditions, all my blood work looks great. Nothing out of the ordinary. Ordinary is very good.
