I have not yet seen Les Miserable. I know the song of angry men and I have read the book. I loathed that book, but it does have a place in history.

FWIW, in Gone With the Wind, when the women were gathered, waiting the return of their men, the book Melanie was reading while the ladies embroidered was Les Miserable. The book was read by many Southerners during and after the War of Northern Aggression because it struck a chord with them.

I’ve seen it several times. “Bring Him Home” always reduces me to a blubbering mess.
