It is, Rusty. We got a lot of beautiful garlic harvested before the storms moved in, so thankful for that.
The positive thing is that Natalie was so determined to have enough on hand that the freezers, fridges, cellars are still filled to the brim. They’ve had 2 cows butchered, lambs whenever they want, 300 chickens frozen, and now we’re fattening up five pigs for around November. Basically, there’s no room for anything else. We have about 10 freezers here now, so, to tell you the truth, I don’t know what we would have done with everything! Oh - the potatoes are going to be fine. We have a walk in refrigerated storage area for the potatoes.
Sounds like you guys are in great shape!
Wow!!! Will you be able to eat all that before they freezer burn and what happens if the electric goes out and the freezers defrost?
