Starlit, please don’t ever worry about how my feelings are affected by your posts. You have never made an ad hominem attack on me, nor anyone else that I’ve seen. In turn, please never take anything I question, doubt, disagree with, as an attack. AFTER ALL, WE’RE TRAIN FRIENDS! Agreed! Take nothing personally.
So, when I read your post, I think about it. I wonder where you got this idea. Is it impossible? No. But I think where I part company is - lots of information is puzzling, and coming up with theories is interesting, fun, compelling, etc. I guess my bottom line is, is it true? Truth is something I will defend regardless of who likes it. Theories are just that, theories. Not worth pinning a whole lot of hope and emotion into, but certainly worth exploring.
I can’t jump from Trump being handed a soccer ball, Barron can get into anything, and Don Jr. laughing, to Barron is Q. I have no problem with you thinking that - believe me. In turn, please don’t get upset or annoyed if I don’t accept it so readily. I just need a lot more information to make those dots connect.
So, I then ask myself, as you said, “What did Putin put in the soccer ball for Barron?” And I say to myself, “Well, JudyinCanada, what makes you think Putin put something in the soccer ball for Barron? Can’t Putin just hand Trump a soccer ball for his son? Did Putin actually say that there was a little something in there for Barron? Has a minor child been given access to all of this top secret information? Does he have the knowledge and expertise to sort it all out and put out this information for public consumption?” After consideration, I store it in my progressively dwindling brain as a file to be brought forward if and when something comes up and it dovetails.
I’m not trying to argue with you, so don’t feel like I’m attacking. I’m just trying to explain how I think. Heck, I could be totally off base - maybe everyone thinks in this conspiratorial manner. I’m not saying it’s wrong, I guess I am more of a black and white type of person - that’s why I keep note of these many things, watch them percolate below the surface, and when I see them coming up for air now and again, through sources I trust, then I allow my mind to go there.
So the bottom line, probably with a few of us is this. Some like to explore all of the theories, and I’ll admit some of them are kind of fun. Others just want the real news. Now, these two things may overlap along the way, and that’s fine. I guess I just don’t want to believe in something so strongly that I feel the rug has been pulled out from under me if it turns out to be untrue. False hope is worse than no hope at all.
I want your country to be a country of We The People once again. I don’t doubt for a minute that if and when President Trump is back in the saddle, the shaking will be felt around the world. Hopefully the idiot we have here will be one of the first nuts to fall from the tree.
I agree with Judy, we can discuss things here without making it personal, we are all on the same side and want the same outcome. At least, those posting lately are able to do that.
When several of us were very untrusting of Mike Pence in 2016, we were criticised harshly for it and treated with condescension, as if we had limited intelligence and understanding. As it turns out, those who thought Pence was a snake were actually being too kind to him! The only opinions that I think need to be shut down on the train are liberal ones, but even then I think we can be polite if someone veers off the tracks for a little bit.
The fact that President Trump is posting about the Jan Halper interview does mean something! I can’t wait to find out what.
And I do appreciate your and everybody else’s opinions and perspectives on what’s going on. And I appreciate everyone being patient with me and explaining things. What was that movie where Denzel Washington said “explain this to me like I’m a five-year-old”, I feel like I need to have that caveat in every post.
I agree with you Judy. I’m just ignoring posts like that because I’m not going to waste time and energy on them.
