We had such a great time visiting with my nephew and his wife today. He’s going to be 42 at the end of the month.
So, he says Mexico is fantastic (I can’t remember if it was you who asked lol). He says health insurance is cheap, and the hospitals are clean and modern and you are treated very well. He has zero regrets about leaving Canada, and would never come back to live. He was telling us if they live 6 months in one country and six months in another, you have to pay zero taxes in either country. So, they’re going to stay in Mexico for six months, but leave for the six hot, hot months.
They have to play a game of “pick the other country” now, so they’re heading over to Europe to go through numerous countries to pick one. Nice gig, if you can get it lol. He’s a heck of a nice guy, politically astute (not just because he agrees with me lol) and has done very well.
They were at my son’s today. My son used to think Dave had it made in the shade, but Mike is now looking at things differently. Yes, Dave has bags of money and has a great time at the beach and dining out, etc., but Mike REALLY loves his little girl. He loves being a dad. I heard him say to Dave today that his mom was right.....once you have a child, you know the meaning of love, and it changes everything.
So, we had a nice little spread of finger foods, and a glass of wine. Hahahaha it was boxed wine. Dave called it Cardbordeaux. So funny.
