Thoughts on President Trump’s speech in Montgomery, Alabama:
* Speech was about 53 minutes long. For Trump, this is relatively short.
* Large crowd, largest ever for a GOP dinner in Alabama. 2700 people.
* The crowd was into the speech, with plenty of applause and yell-outs during it. But nothing over the top. This is a dinner crowd rather than a rally crowd.
* Trump doesn’t have to work hard in Alabama because it’s deep red and will certainly vote for him in the primary and general election. It’s no surprise he swept the endorsements of the GOP US House representatives in the state, or that Senator Tuberville was there.
* Trump was, for him, pretty understated in his delivery tonight. My guess is this was strategic following the indictment yesterday. He still said plenty of fired-up lines, but the delivery was a bit more subdued. So for anyone tuning in tonight he wouldn’t look like the caricature the media is trying to make him out to be following the indictments.
* Trump continues to hint that he’s not likely to do the FOX debate later this month, although reportedly he has not made a final decision yet.
* He had plenty to say about the 1/6 indictment, castigating it and Jack Smith. He called Smith a “lost soul.”
* He continues the Biden Crime Family branding.
* He spent a solid segment of his remarks ripping Governor DeSantis. He pointed how RDS is faring in the polls, and brought up RDS’ votes on Social Security and Medicare and contrasted those with his own positions.
* He laid out some specific deliverables tonight, more than he does in some speeches. In addition to saying he’ll obliterate the Deep State, he said he’s get rid of the 87K new IRS agents, he would dismantle Bidenomics, he would install reciprocal tariffs on China, etc. Not that he doesn’t often talk deliverables, I thought he just had a few more tonight in the speech.
* He said he would hold the Chinese Communist Party responsible for Covid
* He mentioned that he did surprisingly well in Beverley Hills with votes. Likely, he said, because people there wanted tax cuts. I’m assuming he meant in 2020.
* OVERALL: Good, measured speech that serves the purpose of closing out “1/6 indictment week” on a high note. Political strength is shown with the announcement of the Alabama congressional backing and their attendance at the event. Yesterday looks like just another day, and the Trump Train rolls on. Good work by him and his staff, who also launched a well-done campaign ad “The Fraud Squad” that hits Biden and his prosecutorial proxies, including local DA’s.

WOW, it’s finally happened! Liddle’ Mike Pence, a man who was about to be ousted as Governor Indiana until I came along and made him V.P., has gone to the Dark Side. I never told a newly emboldened (not based on his 2% poll numbers!) Pence to put me above the Constitution, or that Mike was “too honest.” He’s delusional, and now he wants to show he’s a tough guy. I once read a major magazine article on Mike. It said he was not a very good person. I was surprised, but the article was right. Sad!

Interesting word choice by Trump: “Liddle”.
Most would think this refers to “Little”.
It might also refer to the Liddle Kidz Foundation, which deals in hospital based massage therapy for children.
The foundation was also in the Q drops years ago, in the context of child abuse and trafficking.
Thus, when Trump says Pence is not a very good man, there may be an alternative meaning. Because Pence is not a good man.

This is really eye opening. They knew back in Aug 2020 we would be exactly where we are today. And Trump tweets one more indictment. He was talking about his indictment list from Q.
