Were a damned mail in state, Republicans embraced the move after the 2004 theft of the governor race. Dumb move but I can see why they thought what they did.
Now, it’s imperative that conservatives in mail in ballot states engage locally and volunteer to be ballot watchers. Can’t cheat with honest eyes watching, but that takes volunteers.
Hopefully the local county GOP in mail in ballot states have been recruiting and making sure the ballot watchers take the required training and show up for their shifts. If not volunteer yourself, don’t wait the Calvary is not coming.
I do my shift and more if needed, I was a poll watcher before we switched, I have never trusted dimocRAT’s after watching my maternal grandfather and entire family’s political actions as a kid. Watched my grandfather take people to the polls to vote for JFK and for that he gave them a 1/2 pint bottle of Walker’s Deluxe Bourbon.
I never voted dimocRAT in my life because of that and two other things I heard around the kitchen table. “There ought to be a law”, why? We have enough laws on the books, try living with what we have. “The rich need to pay more taxes!” Once again, Why?
My paternal grandfather and father, both died before I was 9 were conservatives, farmers and we farmed close to 5,000 acres, not big by standards but not small either. We had a damn good lifestyle, live in domestic help even, but after my father’s premature death at 49, my mom hooked up with a radical grifting dimocRAT and within 10 years they lost everything including the farm that had been in the family since Indiana was formed. I guess they got their wish, they taxed the dummy dimocRAT into poverty. My mom & stepdad died paupers. More reason to never vote dimocRAT.
