Social Security and Medicare are entitlement programs. Medicaid is for indigents without sufficient resources to pay for long term care. It is not an entitlement program.

I’ve been forced to pay into SS for 50 years. I’d hardly call it entitlement.

Medicaid is for indigents without sufficient resources to pay for long term care. It is not an entitlement program.The government, however, does take money out of everyone's paycheck to pay for Medicaid just like SS and Medicare.
