LEDs emit dangerous blue light for your eyes, first off. Secondly, they can be accessed through wifi and turned in to listening devices. LEDs are poisonous when broken or discarded. All LEDs are “strobe” lights. Incandescent bulbs are full spectrum NATURAL light.
LEDs can be any color - red, yellow, green, blue, white, purple, orange, probably different shades of purple....have been used in electronics to show status signals for decades. Not all colors of LEDs emit blue light.
While the type of LED you’re talking about has issues - to some degree a blanket statement on all LEDs is incorrect for both room lighting and other applications.
thanks...I think.
LED lights sure beat those curlicue ones (non-technical term) that came previously. The thing about the LED bulbs I hate is all the hype about their so-called longevity. We’ve had them burn out almost as much as any other type. Maybe they last 17% longer, if that. (CWIDT?) Maybe they last longer if you’re not always turning them on and off. My husband is a maniac about turning them off, even though we run on solar panels and batteries (shrug). We bought a bunch of incandescents a while back and keep them on hand as well. Our house is filled with a mix of all 3 types at present. LOL
