Maybe the chicoms are used to big water? Wasn’t it two years ago that a yard of water fell on the Yangtze drainage and wiped out 80 percent of their agriculture in that basin? That was about the time they started buying US farmland and Smithfield hams.
To save the dam from big water I expect the main action would be to open the locks-—assuming Charlie is there to hit the switch?
They’ve always had flooding historically. 3 Gorges was originally supposed to help manage it better, but has instead actually caused more instability.
Eventually everything fails and when this one does - if not able to be properly managed it’ll take out all the cities on that river all the way to the ocean. It’ll be a horrible loss of life.
