Too bad this so called smart person doesn’t understand math or physics
Too bad for you that she knows what she’s talking about and you don’t.
Faster than light might be possible, but only if acceleration to it from our reality isn’t required.
;)
All the can or can’t aside, I’m curious of how long it would take to reach the speed of light when maintaining an ACCELERATION that would put a constant 2g on the body. I would think that certainly be a cardio workout if it took an hour. I guessing 3gs for an hour might kill a person. I really haven’t a clue though.
“Sabine received a PhD in physics from the University of Frankfurt in 2003. She has since worked in many different areas in the foundations of physics, from particle physics beyond the standard model to quantum gravity, modifications of gravity, dark matter, and the foundations of quantum mechanics.”
But he saw it in Star Wars, it must be true!
“Sabine Hossenfelder (born 18 September 1976) is a German author and theoretical physicist who researches quantum gravity. She is a Research Fellow at the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies where she leads the Superfluid Dark Matter group.”
Yeah, notice to those considering reading it. He adds nothing new. Just pokes some theoretical holes in the theoretical time travel paradoxes but doesn’t actually make a case as to why faster than light is even theoretically possible.
It’s like arguing that Bob is your dad because he’s not necessarily your uncle.
Mathematically it is possible to travel faster than the speed of light by using the imaginary number i, which is the square root of negative 1 in the equations. That is used everyday in other processes such as the air traffic control system. It wouldn’t work without it.
Perhaps you should teach her since you know more than she does.
Sheesh. What is wrong with Freepers nowadays?
Why not just hell, "Squirrel!"
Did you know that answers to the presence of UFOs that include FTL sound more intelligent than "UFOs aren't here"?
“doesn’t understand math or physics”
An expert in math or physics in the 1700s would be totally confused today.
An expert in math or physics today will be totally confused three hundred years from now.
The “laws” of physics were made to be broken.
