There’s still a big difference between Polk and Hamilton counties. I’d love for us in the norther part of Hamilton to secede from the county, start our own school system, and basically quit kowtowing to the city of Chattanooga itself.
Agree. The Northern part is good. When we moved to Cleveland, our farm was rock tossing distance from the Polk Co. line while still being in Bradley Co.
We didn’t have any of these issues in Florida but Dad was born in Chattanooga and when my asthma improved, he wanted to transfer back. TN was a culture shock for somebody like me that grew up in FL. even though I spent summers with my grandparents. I was extremely friendly and my grandmother almost got ulcers trying to teach me not to talk to everybody on the street.
