Your sources, Preston James and Mike Harris, are wrong on every claim they didn't plagiarize. There was no Khazaria in 1250 and Persia had been razed by the Mongols and was part of their empire. In 1250, there was no Kievan Rus. The Mongols had conquered it a decade earler. There was also no Khazaria in 1250. The last Khazar state was destroyed in 1016, and its ruler was the Christian Georgius Tzul.
