Torrential downpours unleashed flash floods on the US Northeast on Monday (Jul 10) that washed out roadways, overwhelmed rivers, forced numerous boat rescues and killed a woman who was swept away in front of her fiancé, officials said.
More than 13 million Americans were under flood watches and warnings from Eastern New York state to Boston and Western Maine to the northeast, the National Weather Service said in its forecast on Monday, after storms that began over the weekend inundated rivers and streams.

You send what you don’t want down to Texas.

My family lives in EasternMA….out and about all day……heavy rain but nothing dangerous.

See my post # 4 .

This is real. Orange County NY badly hit. Road to West Point military academy destroyed and water damage to buildings.
I was reading on a weather forum that 8” of rain fell in that area (in the 24 hours ending 10 a.m. Monday).
Correct.
We had some minor flooding in the area. Happens every few years. The world isn’t gonna end.
My brother and my nephews has tickets to the New Hampshire NASCAR Race this weekend, so I hope it will be run this weekend.
Like I said...It happens.
Catastrophizing normal weather. I live in the north east and it was a bit rainy last week. The end.
So do I. 10 inches of rain in one day is not normal in the NE.
