I think you’re right that the parents would be happy to see them go.
But, since the “adult LOSER children” are... LOSERS... they’re dug in having Mom cooking and doing their laundry. And NOT working to afford rent.
It all comes down to weak parents. The adult child should have never been allowed to stay/come back, certainly not without paying rent + expenses.
