It appears you are ignorant of several salient facts, and thus hold an incorrect view of reality:

Georgian areas under Russian occupation:

They consist of the regions of Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia and the former South Ossetian Autonomous Region of Soviet Georgia (currently divided between several non-autonomous administrative divisions of independent Georgia), whose status is a matter of international dispute.

Since the 2008 war and subsequent Russian military occupation of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, the Russian government, along with four other UN member states, considers the territories sovereign independent states: the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of South Ossetia. Before Russian occupation, the unrecognized republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia did not completely control their respectively claimed territories. Russian military bases were established in Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Russia does not allow the European Union Monitoring Mission to enter either Abkhazia or South Ossetia. Russia has signed agreements with the de facto civilian administrations of both territories to integrate them militarily and economically into Russia.

Doyou think banning poliical opposition and the chuhrch is OK? Justified by circumstnces?

Yes, banning pro-russian parties or the Moscow Patriarch that calls for the eradication of Ukraine during a russian invasion is normal. Duh

“Zelenskyy: I thank Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew for the spiritual support of Ukraine”

This could be a portrait of Pilate and Caiaphas.
Both men bound for Hell.

Our enemy is All evil men who trade in war and death.

Its called the right of self-defense and unfortunately you do not seem not being able to differentiate between invaders like Putin, who start wars, and people who are defending their families, homes and nation.

Why? For $ of course. Plenty of people screw their own country for cash. Joe Biden and Bill Clinton come to mind.

Well there is some truth to that as I said Clinton pushed NATO East but I think your wording may not be entirely accurate. Your statement said NATO withdrawal, did you mean Russia was demanding Eastern Nations leave NATO?

No I don’t think they did.
‘From Reuters Nov 2021–“ withdrawal of multinational NATO battalions from Poland and from the Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania that were once in the Soviet Union.”.

They were demanding a neutral Ukraine and essentially no build up of foreign hostile forces near their border. These Eastern European nations (except Ukraine) could have their own defense forces and of course could call on NATO to send support in if they were invaded, it seems. Ukraine is different, they consider Ukraine as essential to their existence as a neutral nation…it’s their line in the sand.

It seems a reasonable demand. Now whether or not Russia over-reacted or even faked the excuse to defend their borders and want to conqueror Ukraine is impossible for me to say. It appears they consider themselves a major power and refuse to accept a NATO Ukraine..when Ukraine indicated they would join NATO they attacked.

I honestly think this theory Russia is the new 3rd Reich thing to be nonsense, that they will start Gobbling up nation after nation if they win here. They have a declining population, why do they need more land?

I don't doubt that organized criminals are getting a cut of the arms shipments. However, like the George Floyd riots three years ago, there is an organization behind the civil unrest. The riots in America in 2020 and in France in 2023 are no more spontaneous than a classical ballet performance. The death of Floyd and that of the Muslim driver were mere excuses. In our country, Antifa and BLM were well organized and funded by wealthy leftists, and in the case of BLM, openly by large, multinational corporations, even the NFL and WalMart. BLM and Antifa directed the riots, which were approved of by the liberal media and the Democrats. The purpose of the riots was to weaken the Trump Presidency, and it succeeded. It is likely that Muslim terrorist groups are the French equivalent of Antifa/BLM.

It is likely that some group like Al Qaida is coordinating the riots and obtaining the weapons, possibly through organized crime. Ukraine is a pesthole of corruption and has been since the fall of the Soviet Union. However, American and British intelligence, if they wished, told Zelensky or the Ukrainian mafia to desist, if the goal were to protect Macron. The French leader has been stepping out of line in his desire to have France negotiate with the BRICS financial group. Defection or even flirting is unacceptable. So supporting the riots may be the American and British method of keeping Macron in line.

I'm well aware of the claims made by the West regarding South Osettia as well as the interventions Russia has made on their behalf...mainly to prevent an ethnic cleansing rampage orchestrated by a US puppet, as was the case in 2008.

South Osettia declared its independence in 1990 and has resisted being absorbed into Georgia ever since. In fact the South Osettians have passed multiple referendums stating their long standing desire/intention to join the Russian Federation...as is their natural right.

What I object to is the deceitful way Russia's treatment and defense of what are objectively considered autonomous regions on its border is called an invasion and occupation, when in fact its their presence that prevents the type of bitter ethnic violence the Caucuses region is known for.

My advice to all homo loving westerners is myogdb when it comes to other countries borders, and tend your own.

"Is russia not our enemy?"

Russia is an enemy only because the US is now ruled by gangsters. Russia is a Christian nation that we should be on good terms with.

Putin demanded NATO withdraw from those countries (Poland, Lithuania, etc) which means they would have no NATO protection from a russian invasion, like Ukraine.

As for being able to "call on NATO to send support if they were invaded", would be of little help to the smaller Baltic countries who would be swallowed up before any serious help came.

"What crap! You must be Russian."

Just an ordinary redneck living in Texas (нормальный красношейник, живущый в техасе), never really set foot in Russia. Languages and the history of spoken languages are a kind of a hobby, especially Russian. Russian to my thinking is the only language that it makes any sense to study that still has real IE grammar.

Like President Lincoln?

Throughout the Civil War, Lincoln restricted civil liberties, including First Amendment press freedoms and other freedoms of expression

In other wartime actions that affected freedom of expression, Lincoln seized the telegraph lines and issued an order prohibiting the printing of war news about military movements without approval.

Journalistic dispatches, U.S. mail, and telegraphs were all routinely censored as part of the administration’s war efforts. People were arrested for wearing Confederate buttons and for singing Confederate songs.

Government officials shut down the Chicago Times for excessively criticizing the Lincoln administration. Editors were arrested, papers were closed, and correspondents were banned from the fields of battle. A military governor with the approval of the secretary of war, Edwin M. Stanton, destroyed the office of the Sunday Chronicle, a Washington, D.C., newspaper.

During Lincoln’s administration, Clement L. Vallandigham, a prominent Democratic member of Congress from Ohio, was arrested for making an anti-war political speech in his home state. After his conviction by a military tribunal, Vallandigham was sentenced to prison. Lincoln, however, changed the punishment to banishment.
