My thoughts:

3) Legal immigration for legal immigrants will be doubled.
No. We already have 20% of the world's migrant population, even though we're 5% of the world's total population. Even legal migration needs to be scaled down until our total migrant population as a percentage of the whole is no more than our 5% of the world's population.

9) As soon as physically possible, a wall will be constructed...
Nice. But add to it that the total spending can be at least as much as we've spent pretending to protect Ukraine's borders.

Citizenship verification laws already exist. They are ignored and have been for decades. As a hiring manage long ago, I was required to collect much info and documentation for any new hire. These requirements are no longer adhered to. The IRS had their forms and other agencies had theirs.

“Any business that employs an illegal alien will be fined at a rate of $5000 per day per illegal alien employed.”

Have first $1000 in pay to be picked up at a USCIS contractor.

The contractor gets to keep the pay if the employee is ineligible.

Contractors would have to bid a monthly percentage of pay to get this right.

This provides a ‘safe harbor’ for employers. Employers merely send the initial paychecks to the contractor.

I should add that the law should never be so harsh that courts won’t enforce it. Fines cannot be excessive as per the US Constitution.

Thank you for presenting your ideas, most people are very passive so I would not be too discouraged if you have few replies.

This website also has many infiltrators who will try and knock down anyone presumptuous enough to initiate change.

Unfortunately, I believe our country is no longer a nation of laws but of lawyers.

Writing law is a specialty, so serfs-to-be; like ourselves are all but marginalized.

I sincerely wish you luck, we need more people like yourself to be involved.

Much of this is already law.

See US Code Title 8 Part VIII §§ 1321 – 1330.

You probably need to characterize it as a civil penalty or perhaps a tax instead of a fine.

Second, maybe throw in a private right of action and individual standing to bring an action.

Not strong enough. I have thought we should implement asset forfeiture for using illegal labor. In some cities if you go cruising for hookers they seize your car. So, if you knowingly use illegals they seize your business. Probably 2 or 3 well publicized forfeitures and the problem would dry up.

I wrote this several years ago.

*****

My Idea of Comprehensive Immigration Reform:

1. Illegal aliens are to be detained upon detection and deported within twenty-four hours.

2. Any citizen knowingly employing, sheltering, concealing, or otherwise assisting (other than emergency medical care) an illegal alien shall suffer forfeiture of all property, real and personal, all assets, businesses, business licenses, and any other thing except his/her physical freedom and two changes of clothing; after which he/she may seek employment and start over.

3. Any non-citizen legally resident, acting as described in para 2 above, shall suffer the same penalty and be deported to his/her country of origin within 48 hours.

4. Any public official, in any branch of government, at any level, who under color of clemency, legal discretion, or other official privilege, shall obstruct, alter, or modify the swift application and extent of paras 1-3 above to any degree soever, shall suffer the same penalty and be summarily removed from office.

(That’s to keep judges from saying “ooooo, that’s too harsh” and governors etc. from handing out pardons to business-owner buddies.)
