My BFF, the best friend ever, died after she had the Whipple Procedure to remove cancer from a bile duct going into the pancreas, recovery was so rough that she never was able to get chemo and later developed liver cancer which she died from.
That very painful, horrendous operation did give her 2 more years of life which we are all thankful for.
Joe has a very painful road ahead, praying for him.
My husbands neice has just been moved to hospice dying from Pancreatic Cancer. She started chemo but it was doing no good.
His ex-sister-in-law died within just a couple of months after being diagnosed.
We had a friend who survived 5 years after being diagonosed with Pancreatic Cancer but they had removed every organ they possibly could even one that was thought you couldn’t live without. I don’t remember which one it was. Nobody I know survives Pancreatic Cancer. :-(
