Only while you are putting your foot into the shoe. Did you watch the video? The heel has a spring in it so it bends down as you put your foot in then the heel springs back up.
No I didn’t notice that until you mentioned it and I went back and looked at the video. That’s ingenious. I thought they were more like slip-ons with your foot angled
