Benadryl is what helps me when I breathe too much of it, which can be one breath when I step out the door.

It actually causes my air passages to close and I can barely breathe.

Benadryl has always helped me to breathe again, very quickly.

Normally for allergies (daily - I have asthma) I take Chlorphineramine maleate - (an old over the counter antihistamine sold at Walgreens as “Walgreens Allergy Relief”, formerly as “Walfinate”).

I also take a prescription, Montelukast.

These two in combination work well for me.

Montelukast stops a large part of the histamine overreaction that other antihistamines don’t stop.

Your doctor might prescribe this over the phone, but can’t say for sure, of course.

It’s commonly prescribed.

If you think you have a sinus infection do get yourself to the doctor and get medicine, antibiotics to get rid of it.

I am so stubborn and I wait too long, have learned the hard way.
