Great idea lg, here's a picture of the pole. I'm not sure which way the squirrel is getting to it. The slinky on the top never stays upright like it is supposed to so he could be climbing on top of it. Or just jumping from the brick or the ground.

That location for the feeder was picked so the birds could be seen from either kitchen window. Worked out good when we got two cats.

Hmmmm, I’m not sure if he can climb that pole but he could very well jump from the bricks.
You might have to set up a camera like we did to catch him in the act.
What do you think, STARLIT?

I still say Rocky is either climbing up to, or, flying up to the 90º angle, then, running out and flipping upside down to get the seed.

I'm very far behind. Fixed lunch and watching golf.
There's no way you can not have squirrels CB. Easy jump from the brick wall to the feeder. And they are already half way up to it. Get a very tall staff and walk out from the feeder that's there and plant it in the ground. The cats should still be able to see it. But you must put a good metal cone half-way up the staff. I have to use a stepping stool to get to my feeder to fill it.

The squirrel is probably walking on the pole. Squirrels around here walk on telephone wires.
