We have coyotes, bobcats and YUGE owls that have been getting area cats and dogs.
We have to be right next to our pup, if we have to take him out, at night. Fortunately, that isn’t very often.

We usually have chipmunks and a gazillion bushytail squirrels but my hubby thinks the pesky, destructive ground squirrel is keeping most of them away.
He is so aggressive and mean.
Hubby borrowed a trap and he has been working at luring the GS into the trap.
He’s putting out a soda cracker spread with peanut butter and honey, keeps moving it closer to the trap.
We have the GS with the cracker in its mouth running away.
He will finally get the cracker into the trap, at the door and them keep moving it farther in and finally....snap, the GS will spring the trap and we can move him somewhere far, far away.
That’s the plan anyway but we have been told they are so smart and very hard to catch...we shall see.
The GS may just underestimate my hubby’s determination.
