Walgreens in San Francisco has chained up the freezer section to deter shoplifters ⛓️

Workers said normally shoplifters clean out all the pizza and ice cream every night. They’re usually hit 20x a day. The whole store is virtually locked up.

While Texas landed at number six on CNBC’s yearly America’s Top States for Business study, the state scored significantly low in one category: Life, Health & Inclusion. Factors in this category include:

crime rates
environmental quality
health care
quality and availability of childcare
inclusiveness in state laws such as reproductive rights, protections against discrimination and voting rights

Texas’ low ranking in its Life, Health & Inclusion score is attributed to a lack of inclusiveness, according to CNBC, considering factors such as laws targeting the LGBTQ+ population, voting rights, and the strict abortion ban implemented statewide. Another weakness identified in the study was worker protections.

Another reason behind the ranking is the state’s current health care infrastructure, with the nation’s highest percentage of people without health insurance and the second lowest number of primary care physicians per capita, according to CNBC. Texas also ranks thirteen in the nation for having high violent crime rates.

CNBC did mention the boom in economic opportunity across the state. In the overall Top States for Business study, Texas received sixth place, with North Carolina taking the number one spot.

This comes after the Austin metropolitan, including Round Rock and Georgetown, were named the best place in the country to start a career, with factors considered including rent price affordability, employment opportunities and overall quality of life.

I need help please. I bought a couple blouses from Amazon and they were promised to be delivered on Friday. Giving me a day before a wedding I was to wear one. I didn't receive them until Monday. Yes, I have Prime. I want to return them. Can you still take items to a Kohl's to return?

Up here, all you have to do is go through the return procedure on Amazon, they send you a page to print, you wrap up the blouses and tape the printed page onto the package and take it to the post office. The post office takes it at no charge. As soon as the post office processes the package you get your refund into your charge card - you don’t even have to wait for Amazon to get the package back.

Maybe someone can confirm if it works the same for your area.

Have you tried to get a incandesent lightbulb lately at a store?

We tried up here at Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, not one in sight.

Haven’t tried online, might be a few left.

They have either shut down or cut way back manufacturing them so now we can only get LED.

They will do the same thing with gas and hybrid cars.

OK, I'm going to stick my neck out and say I'm not buying from Kohl's anymore and hadn't been in their store since their stance on transgender..and such.

(While I'm unloading I haven't stepped foot in Walmart/Meijer-don't want any gun carrying in their stores-I don't feel safe in there without people carrying guns) BUT it was so easy to just throw the item in the Amazon bag, walk into our Kohl's and hand it to a person in the office. They asked no questions..scanned the bag and told me I would see an email from Amazon any time telling me it has been received and taken off of my bill. BAM! Done.
