The publisher of Sports Illustrated and dozens of other magazines is reportedly negotiating to sell a majority stake in the company to Group Black, an African American-owned investment firm, according to a report.
Arena Group, whose portfolio of publications includes Men’s Journal, Parade Media, and TheStreet, is in talks with Group Black, whose media and entertainment holdings include Essence, Afropunk, AfrolandTV, and Crater, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Group Black, which was founded in 2021 by African American entrepreneurs Travis Montaque, Richelieu Dennis and Bonin Bough, bills itself as a “collective” devoted to “build[ing] solutions that accelerate inclusive spending by brands.” The company secured a commitment from WPP, the ad-buying giant, to spend $75 million of its client ad budgets with media entities under Group Black’s umbrella.

I’m hoping they won’t have anymore trans.
even i’m not mean enough to post pictures of that
PLEASE, no pictures.
Blacked seems to be a fitting end to the SI swimsuit edition.
?
SI already went woke, so adding BLM ownership can’t make it any worse.
It lived its useful life like the founders, went its successful life, then got sick and died. The life cycle strikes.
Somebody will make a handful on the dieing brand, in the meanwhile someone will create a successful business to fill the needs of mainstreamers.
Readership...compared to late 1970s...is probably half. I doubt if they are making that much on profit at this point.
😆😂🤣😮
If you look closely at her arms you will see the tattoos. they are recipes for Cream Puffs and Éclairs

In other words, they are shakedown artist and poverty pimps demanding that White corporations give them money or else. And we know which side the Biden regime will side with.
It’s extortion by any other name.
More shoving trans and unicorns down our throats. It’s time it hangs out the closed sign.
Seriously, who reads SI anymore?
In the days before ESPN, sure, it made sense, but what value does it add today?
And they’ve totally ruined the one issue that got the most attention in the Swimsuit Issue. Better to just fold it.
How many people read actual printed magazines and newspapers anymore?
I’ve heard that newspaper circulation, of actual printed newspapers, has declined over 50% since the year 2000. I suspect magazine circulation has also gone down.
Good luck to them if they can revive the magazine, but they seem to be going against some strong headwinds for that type of business nowadays.
I would just love to see the outrage from a company called, “White American owned “Group White””
You will NEVER convince me (or my doctor) that THAT is healthy.
FWIW update....

I just saw that news. I wonder why? LOL. May it be that sports enthusiasts aren’t interested in overweight trans-GIBLETS taking over sports?
