Just because other subs had no accident does not mean his was the same, they are all pretty much unique at this level of exploration. That alone was a big enough warning sign to have dismissed Rush out of hand. Honestly was foolish to accept Rush's premise.

I think that there was customer that canceled out on this trip.

That meant that they were one short on the crew.

I guess there is “safe as crossing a street” in my neighborhood that sees very little traffic. And then there is cross I95/128 in Boston at 3:30 PM on a Friday afternoon.
