Some people don’t want to lose their accents. My stepmother was from Georgia and took classes to lose her accent. (except it came out when she was maaaad)
I took a cake decorating class from this woman who had/has lived her for 50 yrs. She was from Mexico and she kept saying piping yell instead of piping gel. I told my friend if I hear “piping yell” one more time, I’m gonna throw it at her lol.
Accents are fine, used to them, have Polish and Filipino friends, but I could not understand her.

Lawrence Welk and his wife Fern Veronica Welk (Renner) had twin daughters in 1962. They struggled to come up with appropriate names for the twins as they, the twins, were an unexpected surprise (no sonograms and the like).
They eventually decided to call them Anna One & Anna Two...
