Thanks, stylin... nightmares at Grandma’s house 😂. He was born in a German speaking town ? in N Dakota. So maybe that’s it?

Some people don’t want to lose their accents. My stepmother was from Georgia and took classes to lose her accent. (except it came out when she was maaaad)

I took a cake decorating class from this woman who had/has lived her for 50 yrs. She was from Mexico and she kept saying piping yell instead of piping gel. I told my friend if I hear “piping yell” one more time, I’m gonna throw it at her lol.

My southern Ohio accent is totally gone...except when I visit home. It comes back in certain words automatically. Fire becomes far. Wash becomes wrosh. These are the two that tell me I am home. I notice it when I say them and it gives me a chuckle.
