Ouch, that sounds painful. I have read that dogs don’t always need hip or knee surgeries, that sometimes with rest the injuries heal.

It probably would have healed faster, but key word is probably or maybe?

My friend broke her foot, many years ago, like I broke mine oh about 8 yrs ago? And she never got surgery. She should have, it’s a terrible break. It took her 10 yrs to heal. I had a 2” pin and was a year healing.

But my wrist is still awful and one of those, should I have gotten the surgery or left it alone? I do wish I had gotten a second opinion before the first surgery. (smacks head lol) I’m actually going to a hand surgeon in July for a late second opinion.

So, who knows?? How’d you tear your ACL?

skiiing accident. I had a choice between abrupt stop or letting an out-of-control skier hit me. When I stopped abruptly (fell down), the bindings didn’t release. I went one way and my lower leg went a different direction.
