They are the best-selling music act of all time Truly iconic. I believe you had to have experienced their phenomenon during the 60's to really appreciate what they did and how they influenced the music industry.

the group used several drummers before ultimately settling on Starr. i thought the story was the Beatles did not have a drummer but we're required to get one to go on the germany tour, so they took on Pete best and he lasted for 2 years before they took on Ringo. You can hardly call that several drummers.........

Will they go on tour after this? /sarc

Lots of Brit groups back then; “The British Invasion” was taking place.

Nope, some group that never made it, just profiting off the British invasion I suspect.

Paul continues to squeeze every last molecule of juice out of The Beatles 53 years after they broke up. It’s really kind of pathetic.

Somehow I recall, which is amazing, that there was a cover and the band was dressed like the Beatles, perhaps in dark suits. Now this will trouble me forever! I remember listening to it, it was crap, and most on that list are actually quite good.

Imitation is the greatest form of flattery. Badfinger was a band of that era whose sound was amazingly similar to the Beetles. Have a listen:

There was also studio drummer Andy White whom George Martin insisted be the drummer in place of Ringo on “Love Me Do.”

The Knack (my Sharona, Good Girls Don't, etc.) did a
great cover of A Hard Days Night - sort of poking fun at the critics that constantly accused them of copying the Beatles.
Truth be told, this video is better than any video (or even recording) the Beatles ever did of this song (due mostly to how early the song was).

The Buggs-the Beetle Beat or The Mersey Beats. Both Beatle mania knock offs.
