Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis raised eyebrows Monday with his apparent criticism of former President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court appointments.
The Florida governor stated on the Hugh Hewitt Show that Donald Trump’s picks for the Supreme Court — Justices Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett — pale in comparison to Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito. DeSantis then claimed that although he appreciates the work of all three, he would select more ideologically conservative justices as president

Ron De-Scrotus is a POS, Uniparty, arse-kissing, capo in the Bush League crime family.
He states that G.H.W. Bush was the last President to have combat experience, but then never says what a disappointment the man was as President. Maybe he didn't want too often the Bushies. Having military experience doesn't make you a great or effective President. Ask Jimmy Carter. And DeSantis never saw a day of combat duty as a JAG officer in Guantanamo or Iraq. Neither did Beau Biden.
DeSantis Says it's Important for a U.S. President to Have Military Experience
ok. give him and them very little cred for that. not good enough by far, for me. i give the Glory to God for one battle won against abortion. there are still many more to be won.
And then it was conveniently leaked, just in time for midterms. All the Rhinos get to posture and claim their part in the victory, providing a godsend of a distraction from the economy, CRT, transpedo grooming is school, and the Crimedens, and motivating a discouraged base. Even a "moderate" Dem has to genuflect, and I'm sure it saved a few of them who were lagging in the polls. And those three justices get to up their already questionable conservative bona fides. Just sayin'.
Which is exactly what Florida wanted, and apparently Trump, as he endorsed him for governor. We've had presidents with strong majorities in both houses, and the only president who took advantage of it was Obozo. Point is, we elected our governor, provided him with super majorities, and he has used it as we voted for. Social issues don't scare him, and he does not entertain any anti 2nd amendment nonsense. Nor does the media scare him. Kinda sounds like he should be Trumps kind of guy. At least DeSantis attacks from the right.
I just read that article at the link - I do not agree with his take on that.
Not sure what Beau Biden has to do with DeSantis or anyone running for President.
Soetero had majorities and squish Republicans for the first 2 years he was in office. They gave him Obamacare. He could have ran the table. After that they gave him nothing.
Pres Trump had majorities his first two years. They gave him tax cuts. After that, nothing.
Causing both of them to resort to EOs to get things done.
Biggest difference between Pres Trump and Soetero, Pres Trump actually cared. Soetero just wanted to fly around the world and have parties at the WH with Beyoncé.
As usual, your DeSantis supporter who is incapable of acknowledging the ones doing most of the work in Florida, the legislature.
We can only imagine how well this country would be doing, if the Democrats would have left him alone to fix this country. No, they had to impeach him twice and turn low IQ voters against him. The people in this country let the best President ever slip right thru their fingers. That was a tragic mistake.

IMHO, Republicans are more to blame than the democrats.
You know it’s going to come from the Left.
I don’t think anyone had the slightest clue that republicans would stab him in the back the way they did. And in turn, stabbed all of us in the back.
So in spite of overturning Roe, those three justices are just too liberal for you.
Thanks for your opinion.
Barrett was in the majority in a 7-2 ruling against a Republican-led bid to strike down the Obamacare healthcare law. And she has sided with Gorsuch and Roberts against Alito, Thomas, and Kavanaugh on others. There is room for improvement.
And I always appreciate your opinions as well.
They both got Bronze Stars for being JAGs in a combat zone. Did they hand them out like candy over there for people who didn't even see combat?
I don’t know.
You seem to be holding DeSantis getting a Bronze Star against him. Just don’t see how that somehow makes him less of a candidate.
I have a right to question someone getting a Bronze Star for simply showing up for work every day. My brother spent a year in the jungles of Vietnam fighting not only the enemy, but also dodging bullets and mortars from his own people. Did he get a Bronze Star for showing up for work everyday, being sent out on back-to-back operations without any rest in-between, sitting in rice paddies soaked to the skin for days? Of course not. The Bronze Star is for meritorious service. It shouldn't be given to someone just because they showed up for work each day. Not DeSantis, Not Biden, not anyone who did not do anything above or beyond what their job duties required. Kerry gave himself 3 Purple Hearts because as Swift Boat Commander, he got to write the after-action reports, and push them up the chain-of-command. Military medals these days are given out like candy, and they shouldn't be. It cheapens the seriousness, and the honor of the award.
Meritorious achievement and service. Awards may be made to recognize single acts of merit and meritorious service. The lesser degree than that required for the award of the LM, must nevertheless have been meritorious and accomplished with distinction.
The Silver Star is the third-highest military combat decoration that can be awarded to a member of the United States Armed Forces. It is awarded for gallantry in action:
While engaged in action against an enemy of the United States; While engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing foreign force; or
While serving with friendly foreign forces engaged in an armed conflict against an opposing armed force in which the United States is not a belligerent party.
Actions that merit the Silver Star must be of such a high degree that they are above those required for all other U.S. combat decorations but do not merit award of the meet Medal of Honor or a Service Cross (Distinguished Service Cross, the Navy Cross, or the Air Force Cross).
It is exactly what the bronze star is for. I don't think the SEAL team he was assigned to would have put him in for it if he was just punching a time clock, as those guys are definitely combat oriented.
He wasn’t on the battlefield taking fire, along with the SEAL’s he gave advice too that were actually performing the mission. I guess you could call him the unit’s mascot, so he got a Bronze Star too, while he was safely back at base camp waiting for his atta’ boy.
Re: 76 - I will try to find the award citation for DeSantis.
I've already seen it. Don't bother.
