Family and friends in the midwest have been telling me about the smoke for a few days. East coast friends started talking about it yesterday.
The picture from NYC is shocking.
Interesting that NYC is getting a taste of their own medicine with illegals and now smoke.
I was up in Cleveland, OH a couple of weeks ago, visiting friends. The first night of my visit, the smoke was there, loitering over the area. Similar for night 2, but on either the 3rd or 4th night, a cooler wind blew through and took that smoke right out of the picture.
After that, the sky was much more visible and we had dueling telescopes going for a couple of evenings. Wish we could have gotten rid of the light pollution too, but big city people seem to want daylight all night, everywhere.
