That is absolutely correct, but your application is whacked!

Nowhere did Kalam say anything about Salvation coming from our work of spreading The Gospel. Hello? The Great Commission? And Ephesians 2 says we are called to good works which God prepared for us beforehand. Like ALL good works that we who are saved provide, we do so out of appreciation of our Gift of Salvation not in order to earn Salvation. The New Testament is chock full of themes of Evangelism and that is what Kalam was pointing out. Why distort what Kalam said in order to provoke an unneeded argument?

Presenting the message of the gospel and getting back a response of faith in the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ is a great act of spiritual warfare. Ground is taken from the enemy. The receptive act of faith in believing the gospel has justified God to forgive sin in the new believer based on the death of Christ and gracefully convert them from darkness to light. There is no room for boasting in the one preaching or the one receiving salvation. It is all by God's grace.
