I don’t remember it. But I’ve researched the heck out of it since. The students cornered them. They reacted fearing for their lives. The students are lucky more weren’t killed.

There was a group of trouble makers that would go from school to school, trying to organize riots. Kent took the bait, but my Alma Matre, Baldwin Wallace College did not. Our football team chased the trouble makers off the campus, according to a history professor I had.
The night prior to the shooting, they burned down the ROTC building. When the city of Kent fire department came to fight the fire, they cut their fire hoses. I worked with a guy that had been there on the fire department.
