ok, now this is kinda interesting ....

Q post refers to AMB Matlock (from Q460).

Matlock was Ambassador to USSR under Reagan.

Matlock is still alive.

From Wikipedia:

On Feb 15, 2022, he published an op-ed in Antiwar.com, originally written for the American Committee for US-Russia Accord (of which he is one of the directors), suggesting an impending Russian invasion of Ukraine might be a “charade”, stating “Maybe I am wrong – tragically wrong – but I cannot dismiss the suspicion that we are witnessing an elaborate charade, grossly magnified by prominent elements of the American media, to serve a domestic political end.”

Matlock writes:

What all the parties to the conflict in Ukraine seem to have forgotten is that the future of mankind will not be determined by where international borders are drawn — these have never been static in history and doubtless will continue to change from time to time. The future of mankind will be determined by whether nations learn to settle their differences peacefully.

Re Matlock:

Interesting that Matlock sees the charade of the war in Ukraine and puts a good portion of the blame at the feet of the media.

1850 is also the year of the Dred Scott Decision which argued military law’s precedence over civil law:
