To: Opinionated Blowhard

Swans have been an attraction there for a hundred years according to news reports. So, businesses have probably benefited from tourism.

This pair ( they mate for life) was donated about 10 years ago.

These are not a native swan species, like Trumpeters, so other than charging them with theft and animal cruelty, they probably cannot get them on wildlife laws.

Many years ago I ‘met’ a trumpeter at the National Zoo. He was very friendly, not nasty like lots of swans. I guess it has to do with how they’re raised and kept.
