In Florida EVERY child receives a voucher for $8,000 to spend where ever the parents want to send their child. Could be their own public school - could be a private school.
I know this much - in ten years lot of public schools won’t exist ...

That reminds me that we had some proposal before the legislature to implement the same thing - $8k per year per student for school choice. I need to check on that.
All of my children/grandchildren except for the last two have been in private schools or home schooled - sometimes when we couldn’t afford it but did it anyway.
